Best Albums Of 2015

Dec 10, 2015

I found 2015 pretty slim for non-metal – that being said, there were a few brilliant albums released. Here are my picks for the top 10 albums of 2015. Enjoy, and have a listen to some great music!

10. Kurt Cobain – Montage of Heck: The Home Recordings

More for hardcore Nirvana fans, but interesting nonetheless.

9. Of Monsters And Men – Beneath The Skin

Looking forward to them visiting SA next year!

8. Eagles Of Death Metal – Zipper Down

Still such an epic band, hope they get over the tragedy of this year.

7. City And Colour – If I Should Go Before You

Always love the passion in Dallas Green’s voice.

6. Mumford And Sons – Wilder Mind

Looking forward to seeing them live next year.

5. Gary Clark Jr – The Story Of Sonny Boy Slim

Amazing guitarist, great blues!

4. The Arcs – Yours, Dreamily

A side project from Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys. Great stuff.

3. Foo Fighters – St Cecilia

A free EP released for Record Day – got to love the Foo.

2. Team Sleep – Woodstock Sessions Vol. 4

Just listen to the whole live recording. Chills.

1. The Tallest Man On Earth – Dark Bird Is Home

Still one of my favourite artists – was lucky to see him in London this year, his whole vibe has changed with the addition of a full band.

One Extra…

Jeremy Loops re-released Trading Change as a Deluxe Edition – it doesn’t qualify as a new release in my opinion, but worth picking up just for the addition of ‘See I Wrote It For You’ – get it if you don’t have it yet!
